Supporting Women Every Day of the Year!
As March 8thhas rolled around again this year, the world gathers to collectively celebrate the success and ability of women to empower themselves.
But at Serpent & the Swan it is just another day in the office. Strong powerful women are integral to the success and accomplishment of my business every day of the year. From our amazing 100% female owned and operated team, to the inspiring women who adorn our pieces every day, Serpent & the Swan is a brand by women for women.
And I am serious about 100% female - even our office puppies Frida and Millie, who play a special role in the business everyday exude the exciting female energy from which we thrive off.
This year, the theme for International Women’s Day is #ChooseToChallenge, calling people to challenge sexist norms and inequality. From challenge comes change.
For IWD this year, Serpent & The Swan choose to challenge Domestic Violence, female homelessness and social inequality in our local area of Redfern. In doing so, 50% of all today’s profits will be donated to The Women’s and Girls’ Emergency Centre in Redfern. Such donations will assist in providing shelter and guidance for women in crisis, building on the existing strength and resilience of women to break cycles of inequality and domestic violence.
