As many of you may know, I have had my studio in St.Peters at Precinct 75 for many years. Once a thriving community full of like-minded creatives, who, like myself, have built businesses from the ground up based on our passions, have fallen into the trap of greed and damaging creative industries. As the Precinct is going to be demolished and replaced by apartments.
The Precinct is where I built my fashion brand, which then developed into the jewellery that is Serpent and the Swan today. I have seen businesses come and go, but the creative energy always remained. It has been sad to see the community be removed and see all the creative business forced to move out. After having my studio robbed there, it was the last straw and it was definitely time to look for something new.
Full of light, my new studio/showroom in Alexandria is the ideal location for my work. I have finally found a new place to call home for Serpent and the Swan. Enormous windows light up the room, reflecting on the white walls that surround the room. I now have a dedicated space for Forever Forged, my permanent jewellery project, as well as for my showroom. Lots of opportunities and things to come, and pieces to be made!
