Recently I was contacted by a lovely mum of 2, Shelby, who wanted a personalised wishbone ring to represent her family and children. 
She wanted something to reflect her children and marriage, and loved the wishbone design, which represents good fortune. She then decided to use corresponding birthstones to represent these important days of her life- her marriage and birth of children.
Each birthstone represents a specific month and their meanings- rubies represent love and power, opals represent peace and beauty, while the emerald represents happiness and faithfulness. Birthstones are thought to give fortune to the wearer, too!
The ruby and the opal represented the her children, and the emerald represented the month she was married in- May!
Here is the ring before the stones were set at my studio.
All these tied together on a white gold band, and voila! A personalized band that I hope she loves for many years to come.
