Gem of the Sun 🌞 Peridot 💚

I can’t believe it’s August! Happy Birthday to all those born in August, where the birthstone is the incredible rare Peridot, a glistening green-yellow gem often found in one of the rarest materials - meteorites. Most peridot was formed deep inside the earth and was delivered to the surface by volcanoes. Some also came to earth in meteorites.

Peridot has always been associated with light. In fact, the Egyptians called it the “gem of the sun.”

Peridots bring balance and strength, with medieval people believing that the gem provides healing powers and opening the heart. As a birthstone, the Peridot represents prosperity and beauty, thought to bring protective powers to those who wear the elegant stone and shine through with spiritual purpose.

The stone is unique as it is only in one colour - Olive-Green, but comes in a range of intensities from the darkest of greens to slight yellow or brown undertones. Although a similar range of greens, each gem is unique due to the factors that help make them special, like the undertones and the clarity of the gem.

Peridots are a perfect gift for those born in August, especially with my new Birthstone Heart Padlocksfor protection and to proudly show off their month! This token of love can be worn as both an earring, comfortably as a part of your everyday jewellery so you can show what you love day and night. It can also be used as an added charm to a necklace or bracelet.

Again, Happy Birthday to those born in August!

Stay safe and Much love,
