OUR STONES

Found by hand, across Australia.

Our coloured stones come from small suppliers who fossick across Australia. A pick, a sieve, a patient eye. No machinery. It is slow, small-scale work, and it means we can tell you where a stone came from and who found it.

Fossicking. The lightest way to take a gem from the ground.

Fossicking is searching for gems with hand tools alone. No heavy machinery, very little disturbance to the ground, and a handful of hands between the stone and our bench. That is about as low-impact as gem-getting gets, and it keeps the story honest.

Sapphires from Australian ground.

Australia is one of the world's great sources of coloured stone. Sapphire above all, from the gemfields of central Queensland and the New England region of New South Wales. The classic blues, yes. Also golden yellows, and parti sapphires that split two or three colours across one stone. Nowhere else does that quite like here.

Every stone its own. Every setting solid.

Our stones are found, not ordered by the gross, so each one has its own colour, clarity and shape. We set them by hand into solid Australian gold and sterling silver. Never plated. The setting lasts as long as the stone.
