This was stitched together for a swan who wanted these charms and chains melted down into something new... but I couldn't bear to do it. We customised this collection of trinkets into something they will actually wear.
Something that I haven’t written about in a while is how symbology plays such a huge role in the design process of S & S pieces. I own many books, vintage and new, mythological, chronicles of the natural world (just overall witchy), that give meaning to the iconography in our lives.
The making of the franken-chain necklace led me to stitch together a charm necklace with S & S symbols. Opal of the heart, memorial, dagger, spider web, snake and break my heart pendants. The collection of these icons are representative of different aspects of one's personality, but not only this, symbols of individual meanings.
Here are some of my favourite symbols
With every package I send, you receive a little playing card from me describing the meaning behind the shape, animal, or stone that you have chosen.
