Jewellers are basically dentists 🦷

In-studio chat this week about polishing tools reminded me of how the majority of people I met in Jewellery class many moons ago were DENTISTS! They already had most of the tools and made jewellery as a hobby. How wild?

It was practiced in the Victorian era by Queen Victoria herself! When her daughter, Princess Victoria lost her first tooth, the queen had Victoria’s tooth placed in a broach. The broach is now on display at an exhibition in Buckingham Palace.
